What types of panel saw machines are there?
Four-step panel saw: This equipment is specifically suitable for cutting panel furniture. It has three or four cutting heads with automatic tool change, punching, grooving, cutting, and irregular shape carving functions. Cabinet doors and panels can also be considered. Even high-configuration four-step panel saws are cheaper than other panel saws and processing equipment. For some newly established small and medium-sized panel furniture factories with lower budgets and factories facing financial pressures, this is a good choice.
Dual-axis drilling and milling processing: As the name suggests, a dual-axis drilling and milling panel saw is a cutting device with dual-axis drilling and milling. The two spindles are responsible for grooving and cutting respectively, and automatic tool change is achieved through pneumatic cylinder switching. The 5+4 vertical drilling and milling achieves a fast drilling function, automatically switching during processing, with high speed and accuracy. The dual-axis drilling and cutting machine can achieve automatic cutting, punching, grooving, and board pushing. With 5+4 drilling pockets, it can drill holes in adjacent positions, making it very suitable for processing wardrobes and other cabinets.
Disc-type processing: The disc-type tool change center, also known as the hat-shaped tool change center, is a commonly used machine type. The tool magazine can move with the spindle or be placed on the side of the machine frame.
The advantage of the former is that the tool change speed is faster, generally within 12 tools. It is not suitable for 16 or 20 tools because the tool heads are heavy. Using 20 tools places too high a demand on the load-bearing capacity of the Z-axis and gantry, especially the wear and tear resistance of the Z-axis screw and guide slide.
With long-term use, the accuracy decreases rapidly. The tool magazine placed on the side of the machine frame can hold 12-20 tools, is stable, and the tool change speed is slightly slower than that next to the spindle. However, long-term use will not affect the accuracy and stability of the machine.
What aspects should customers pay attention to when choosing? Choose the right one for yourself. In the disc tool change processing center, because most servo tool magazines use a set of servos, the cost is high, the tool change speed is fast, and the accuracy is high. Commonly used control systems and servo motors include new systems, servo motors, and new bus servo motors.
Moreover, the cost is relatively high. The total price will be higher than that of linear tool change. Of course, other corresponding servo motors can also be configured when changing discs, with little difference in performance.
Linear tool change center: This machine is suitable for customers who integrate door and cabinet production for panel furniture. It is multi-functional and can meet most of the customer's processing requirements. It is very cost-effective.
